The roots of Net Group of Companies which is the Turkish tourism sector today goes back to the foundation of Net Tourism A.Ş. in 1974 with a capital of 500 Turkish liras by approximately 100 translator guides who were convinced by Besim TIBUK who perceived the lack of institutionalized organizations in the Turkish tourism, to extensively serve the Turkish tourism.

Net Turizm, which is a multi partner enterprise, was one of the first examples of the public companies in the Turkish capital markets.The group of entrepreneurial partners who came together with a new concept opened their first shop in the historical and touristic quarter of Istanbul, namely Nuruosmaniye, which is different than the small touristic shops in the sense that it is in a large scale and more institutionalized.

Real Estate Development

The most important one of the projects planned by Net Group of Companies is Net –Milas Land and Tourism Development Project which is one of largest projects not just in Turkey but in the world as well.

Currently the project concept and the market research and feasibility studies that were based on the data of year 1995 are being revised in accordance with the existing economic data and market conditions.

On the 10th year of the arrival of our company - the pioneer of Turkish Tourism - to Northern Cyprus of Turkish Republic in terms of investments, the ground-breaking ceremony of the Congress Center of 1200 pax, which is planned to be open to service in March 2006 and the opening ceremony of the new addition of a 200-bed-capacity building, which was constructed according to Ottoman Architecture, to the already-existing facility, were held by Prime Minister of Cyprus Ferdi Soyer, Turkish Ambassador Ayhan Karhan, Minister of Economy and Tourism Derviş Kemal Deniz, Minister of Agriculture and Forest Hüseyin Öztoprak, Cyprus Turkish Airlines Director of the Board Representative Ahmet Derya, President of KITOB Turhan Beydağlı, President of Chamber of Commerce Salih Tunar, Mayor of Alsancak Yücel Atakara, Press and TV Channels and a wide crowd of guests.
