NET –MILAS PROJECT
The most important one of the projects planned by Net Group
of Companies is Net –Milas Land and Tourism Development Project
which is one of largest projects not just in Turkey but in the
world as well.
Currently the project concept and the market research and feasibility
studies that were based on the data of year 1995 are being revised
in accordance with the existing economic data and market conditions.
These studies will determine the most efficient way of benefiting
from the lands, having a total area of 11.061.899 squaremeters;
which consist of the original project land of 4.751.972 squaremeters,
the land next to this one (plot number 60) with an area of 4.377.898
squaremeters, 14 different plots of land having a total area
of 160.669 squaremeters, allowned by the Net Group, and 21 other
plots, leased from the General Directorate of Foundations with
a total area of 1.771.360 squaremeters. The subject lands are
easily accessible from every point in the world with its location
being only 8 kilometers to the Bodrum International Airport opened
in 1997.
As a result of these studies, a new concept is defined to include
more than 3.000 residences of different size and characteristics,
hotel, sports and recreational facilities, educational institutions,
health facilities, commercial units and offices. After completion
these premises will be able to serve more than 20.000 people
during the whole year.
It is expected that the winter usage can be increased seriously
with educational facilities integrating with the local/authentic
characteristics of the area-such as tourism, cultere, history,
archaeology (especially sea archaeology) ecology, botanics, agriculture
and eco-agriculture-to create a town living all around the year.
The continuity of the life in the town will also be provided
by other environmentalistic production activities and commercial
and social service facilities which will also increase the employment.
The health facilities will provide a comfortable and safe life
opportunity to the third age group as well as giving service
to the vicinity. The life style at the project site and its proximity
to the airport will attract many companies-such as architecture,
computer software, etc.-which do not have to be in the metropolis
continuously but should not lose contact with it. A technopark
will also be available at the site to host these companies.
The 1/1000 master plan of the original project land was approved
in 1997 and 760.000 squaremeters of construction right was obtained
which is 16% of the land area. The master plan was prepared flexible
to take all the possibilities into consideration. The residences,
tourism establishments and sports and recreational facilities
are planned to be located on this land. The university campus,
technopark and health facilities are planned which currently
does not have an approved master plan.
According to the time schedule prepared, the fist phase of the
existing project will be implemented with several changes and
the following phases will be planned, parallel to the development
of this phase, in accordance with the new concept suitable to
current conditions.
A primary development company will be established together with
the strategic partner(s) in order to perform these activities
or Halikarnas A.̃., the major land owner, will be used for this
purpose. On the other hand, sub-developer companies, to be established
by companies specialized in certain areas, are going to realize
their investments on lands provided to them under different methods
such as sale, lease, profit sharing allocation or equity partnership
in return of capital-in-kind.
Sera-Net, the gardening and landscape architecture company,
has been specifically founded to serve the landscaping reguirements
of the project and already astablished the largest greenhouse
center of the region. More than 100.000 palm trees and other
plants have been planted on a land of 1.000.000 sguaremeters
and are being grown up to be used in the landscaping of the project
and to be sold other establishments in the region.
